Torneo Blitz 2000
Un interesante torneo a nivel blitz de 5 minutos por partida. Participan programas de elevado nivel como LG2000, Crafty, Nimzo o Comet. LG2000 ganó el torneo con un juego muy efectivo (ganó a todos los oponentes salvo a SOS, a quien venció en la final). La sorpresa la dio SOS. Pensaba que SOS era un programa más débil que Crafty, Comet o LG2000, pero ha demostrado un buen nivel de juego. El torneo comenzó con cuatro grupos donde los programas jugaron cuatro partidas contra cada uno de sus oponentes. El primero y segundo de cada grupo pasó a los cuartos de final donde jugaron otras cuatro partidas. Así hasta llegar a la final. El hardware utilizado ha sido un Pentium II 400MHz con 128MBytes de RAM.
A very interesting tourney where has been
many strong programs like LG2000, Crafty, Nimzo or Comet. LG2000 won the
tourney with an effective play (won all opponents without SOS in Group, but won
in the final), SOS has been the surprise with a good style. I thought SOS was
weaker than Crafty, Comet or LG2000 but has demonstrated a good playing level.
The tourney began with four groups where programs played four games against each
program, first and second of each group played in quarters, where played four
games again.
It has been a blitz 5 tourney in a Pentium II 400Mhz with 128 megabytes.
